WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester's women's tennis team earned its third consecutive victory of the fall with a 7-2 victory over visiting University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (USP) Wednesday afternoon at South Campus Courts.
The win lifts West Chester to 3-1 on the season as the women continue their hot streak.
Jennifer Litchman and Claire Afrassabian were the only two double winners on the afternoon. Litchman won her match at No. 3 singles, 8-4, while Afrassabian was a straight-set shutout winner over her opponent at sixth singles, 6-0, 6-0. Litchman teamed up with Katie Edwards at No. 2 doubles for an 8-1 victory, while Afrassabian paired with Jessica Toth at No. 3 doubles for another shutout, 8-0.
Rose Conwell rebounded from a loss in the first set at No. 2 singles to defeat her opposition, 4-6, 6-4, 7-4 tie-breaker. Teresa Grasso and Kara Schumock were also winners at fourth and fifth singles, respectively.
